Cleaning vehicles and frequently touched surfaces

The fleet manager/dispatcher should take the following steps to minimise the risks of virus transmission:

Implement new daily disinfecting procedures to sanitise the vehicles. This also includes communications about the procedures.
Ensure that all surfaces that will be touched are cleaned frequently. Use detergent or soap and water and be sure they are dry prior to disinfection. Make sure to include:
- steering wheels;
- gear shifts;
- grab bars;
- pens;
- seat-belt buckles;
- door handles and latches – internal and external driver and passenger.
Introduce signage in the vehicle to communicate the cleaning measures.
