In 2023 Fleet Forum invited its members to participate in the annual benchmark exercise. Thirteen Fleet Forum members shared their data through a survey and participated in workshops to discuss differences in organisational approaches as well as identified gaps in their current fleet management.
The benchmark exercise revealed the following:
- In the sector underreporting of road traffic crashes remains significant
- Vehicles are underutilized. On average light vehicles drive 6.036 kilometres per year
- 48% of respondents state that they are planning or taking actions to reduce the environmental impact. This is an increase of 71% compared to 2022 and indicates that organisations prioritise environmental sustainability
