Managing a fleet of motorcycles requires careful planning, organisation, and attention to various aspects to ensure cost efficiency, safety, and effectiveness. Yet, only a handful of aid and development organisations have a well-coordinated safety management approach to motorbike fleets. This is particularly concerning as motorbike users are even more vulnerable to the impact of road traffic crashes.
In 2020, ACF developed a series of tools to strengthen their fleet management approach for motorbikes:
- Motorbike policy
- Rider skills assessment
- Daily checklist
- Training materials to facilitate in-house
- Terms of motorbike use for local implementing partners
ACF has graciously made this valuable resources available to Fleet Forum member organisations. Organisations have full responsibility for how they use the contents of this document.
